Residential Coordinator

Access Resources is a dynamic, fast paced and energetic community support services agency based in Kelowna. Access Resources provides support to individuals with varying diverse abilities and challenging behaviors.

We are excited to be immediately inviting applications for a Part-Time, Shared Position for a Residential Coordinator. Previous experience with Management, immediate availability and knowledge of Licensing and Community Care Act Regulations and requirements is important. Our Residential Support services offers individualized residential support for adults living with complex challenges. We are currently hiring for a permanent position full time position. Qualified applicants should posses the following:
-Human Service Worker (HSW) or Residential Support Worker (RSW) diploma or equivalent, or related post secondary education
-Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate or equivalent
-Current and valid Emergency First Aid (Community Care) with CPR
-Class 4 License
-Clear driving record
-WHMIS
-Food safe
-Clear Criminal Record check
-TB screening test results

Responsibilities include:
- Report directly to Executive Director
-Overseeing the day to day operations
of the residence
- Overseeing and completing staffing
schedules
- Overseeing the daily schedules and
plans for the individuals living there
-Being available afterhours for
emergencies
-Deliver residential support services as
required and directed
-Deliver all support services in an
effective and meaningful manner for
individual service recipients
-Maintain accurate records and data for
reporting as required and /or directed
-Maintain accurate records for petty
cash funds as required and /or directed
-maintain accurate files and
participation notes as required and /or
directed
-Maintain ongoing communication with
colleagues, supervisors and other
professionals as required and /or
directed
-Participation in agency reporting,
planning, health & safety activities as
required and / or directed

Community Support Worker and Program Facilitator

 

Are you energetic, outgoing and passionate about supporting people? This is an opportunity to join a well established team at Access Resources. Access Resources is a dynamic, fast paced and energetic community support services agency based in Kelowna. Access Resources provides support to individuals with varying diverse abilities and challenging behaviors in 1:1, 1:3 and in small group capacities.

We are excited to be immediately inviting applications for a permanent full time Community Support Worker and Program facilitator approx. 34 hours per week. This position includes planning and facilitating small groups, so creativity, energy, good communication, time management and organization are an asset! These shifts are typically Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30-7pm.

We are also hiring casual support workers. Please state what you are looking for when applying.

Qualified applicants should posses the following:

  • Human Service Worker (HSW) or Residential Support Worker (RSW) diploma or equivalent, or related post secondary education or relevant experience.
  • Current and valid First Aid with CPR
  • Clear Criminal Record Check through the Ministry of Justice
  • Class 5 Driver License and reliable vehicle.
  • Clear Drivers Abstract

 

The following requirement's will need to be obtained within 3 months of employment:

  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certificate or equivalent
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Negative TB screening test results

 

Part-time hours: 28-34 per week
